So my hubby has friends coming in from out of town this weekend. So of course, I want our house to be clean. So this past Sunday, I wrote a list on the dry erase board of the things that needed to be done before they get here. It's 3 days later, and they get here tomorrow, and the only things done are the things I have done. Ok, no biggie. So I mention this to my hubby and he says we'll get them done tongiht before bed. HA! Ok, let's see how this goes.
So I get a phone call today saying he's coming home from work early so that he can help me clean - EXCITING RIGHT?!?!?!?! Early means that he will get home from work the same time I do. Well, that's exactly how it happens, we literally pull in the driveway 3 minutes apart. So we get inside I start right away on supper. He grabs a beer, and sits down in the chair. Fair enough, he worked a few more hours than I did today. So I'm almost done with one part of supper and he starts dividing up the chores among us. Kinda exciting cause I think he may start to do some. Nope, sits back down in the chair. Keep in mind, I'm still cooking. I ask him if he could peel the potatoes for me while I'm doing other stuff, he sighs but still does it. Then on to beer #2 and back to that damn chair. 30 minutes till supper's ready... he sweeps. Then says, "Do I have time to go take a shower?" As if sweeping has just totally worn him out. I say sure. While he's in the shower, I vacuum and clean both bathrooms. All he had left to do was mop and dust. Comes back in the living room and goes back to the chair again... UGH!!!!
Dinner's Ready!
We sit down and eat... then I get up and start cleaning... and finish cleaning the kitchen (and somewhere in here I've done 2 loads of laundry as well). He kisses me on the forehead and says goodnight. That he's tired and will do the rest of his chores right before the company gets here. Is he kidding???? I mean seriously. Granted, he did work 1 hour longer than me today, but not only have I not sat down at all (until now), I also came home on my lunch break today to start the sweeping because I knew it would be a lot.
So I guess I wasn't all chipper when he kissed me goodnight, and he wanted to know what was wrong? Of course I said "Nothing" and kissed him back... after all, this is too trivial to argue over right???

Husbands...can't live with them, can't kill them. LOL
Nice to meet you, thanks for visiting my blog!
This is why I don't even bother asking my fiance to help me with anything. I can maybe trust him to fold some clothes every now and then :-)
AMEN SISTERS!!! Glad I have people to agree with me!!! Thanks for checking out my blog!
